OFILI DOESN'T SPEAK

Ofili doesn't speak !!!

Compared to the conventional motivational and controversial books of our contemporary time which avoids the real issues like a plague but rather concentrate on what society is itching to hear so as to ensure they become "best sellers" also like their counterparts. It has become a rat race of jungle crap rather than an enlightening experience in the quest for knowledge. Only until recently that I stumbled on some of Ofili's works, I was yet to see an author or at least a writer that would confidently call a cotton wool white irrespective of the repercussions and not translucent, so as to appeal to all different clans of the community interpreting things as it best suits their selfish needs.

Books have seized to speak the truth, if we don't fight for ourselves then who will, actions might speak 'louder' than words, still our words and voices are our most powerful and 'influential' tool yet. Our voices are capable of change as we can never imagine it. The greatest revolutions the world has ever known from the likes of Martin Luther King Jnr and a host of others all started with voicing out words of heart aching pain. We lose this war the moment we stop talking about the things that matter.

We live in a world filled with excruciatingly loud sounds and noises, in our homes, offices and streets, yet, the silence (concerning the things that matter) is thunderous. We need to recruit persons in the likes of Ofili to fight for and with us, side by side until this war is over. The war against immorality, war against tribalism, war against child abuse, war agains depression and a chunk of others. This war would never be over ironically, but we can manage it, curb it till the barest minimum but only if we come together and join our voices in unity for the world to hear. United against this odds that threaten to rip our community from within.

Ofili doesn't speak, he communicates, and ignites a radical change from within everyone he comes across via his books and articles. Ofili has a powerful way around words and people, that these skill sets work harmoniously, getting the attention and touching the silent heart cry of the everyday Nigerian. Today we fight, not for anyone ambitious goals but for ourselves. Talking about "ourselves", when was the last time you did something for yourself, really ??? In recent times we are so busy doing nothing, pursing things that don't matter and funny as it it, these things are never for ourselves, is it working for your salary ? (Actually its for your boss, to build his own pocket at our expense) or trading so hard just to spend the little income on rent (for your landlord), hospital bills (for the doctors that would never tell you that your are completely fine, there always a test to do or drugs to be bought). Even when we think it's for our children, an investment into our own blood to make them better than we are, it's no news that the education system is degrading while the fees are on an exponential race to the top and our children still can't solve basic real life challenges, so what can we say we are preparing them for ? Most times we don't even know how they are fairing in school because we don't have time. We leave our own blood and sweat in the care of strangers while gradually enriching the pocket of these strangers even more and not having time for them.

Soon they end up on the morning news or as the talk of the town as robbers, drug barons or a teenage pregnancy case and we wonder; how, why, when and where did we get it wrong ? How did this one change overnight !!! He never changed OVERNIGHT, it was right under your nose but you couldn't see it, too busy trying to out wealth your peer claiming it's for your children, same children you lost to the vices of the world you detest.
So then, what are we chasing and why ? Would it be worth it in the end ? Why not do something that counts, something that matters for you, for me, for us, for our children we so love dearly and fight. Fight this fight like a man with nothing to lose, then and only then would we have chased something that's worth fighting for... Let's come out openly and join Ofili in this war and win together knowing we gave it our best and not drowning in silence because I will.

I AM NIGERIAN

If you have been on Twitter of late you should have seen a picture like the header above with the Nigerian itsh in front of it, thanks to Gabriel Esu a student of covenant university.

I am Nigerian first, my tribe comes second. Let's join hands to combat tribalism, if we all the youths can join hands together on this and fight tribalism in the next 10 to 20 years tribalism wouldn't be a challenge.

Let's Jon this campaign to fight tribalism. You can get your pictures edited on this link like the ones above http://goo.gl/GfD2Nf

I love Nigeria, God bless Nigeria.

WHY DO COMPANIES HIRE SMART PEOPLE AND STILL TELL THEM WHAT TO DO?????

Why do companies hire smart people and still tell them what to do

That's quite long for a topic.......Buh at least it buttresses the point
If you have an answer maybe you can tell me later  you know
Because it amazes me how companies scrutinize people for employment just to tell them exactly what to do

1st class graduate from Harvard b.sc, m.sc several other awards and recognition
Several certificates exams, tops in attitude test, IQ test and every other test (not HIV test o)

And all you do is keep telling him what to do, organizations should let their highly decorated employees take  charge of responsibilities in their own creative way, or why do you need smart people when all you do is tell them what to do. Instead let them become intrapreneurs in your organization.

"Type the letter and get all resources ready for our organization meeting with so so organization" and many others anyone can do that why employ someone with the highest degrees to do just that.
This I see is what causes under utilization of employee, some don't even know what's going on in the company save that which they are told to do.

Why do managers get mad when their instructions are not followed strictly? what if the employee had added some creativity to that.
Not that it concerns me o am just a careful observer.......ok bye.

HAVE YOU EVER SLEPT IN CHURCH???

Any service o, no excuses, all night? First service? Even 4th service? Morning mass? Easter youth alive? Midweek service?
I doubt if anyone can completely answer no to that,  if your answer is No please make yourself known by putting a comment in the box, we will like to celebrate you with e brethren.

Here I am in church....1st service!! the man of God is preaching a powerful message "encounter with POWER through vision" and I look to my right the nigga is sleeping, ok even the next guy... wait lemme check behind me omg they are also sleeping ok this are guys lemme take a look at the girls side sigh!!  they didn't disappoint me they are also sleeping.

Am not writing this because I have never slept o...emphasis on never (before they start keeping a watch on me) Buh this message is too impactful for someone to be sleeping now.

This arouses the question why do people sleep in church?
Could it be that the message is boring ?
They didn't sleep overnight ?
Or is it the devil ?
The chairs are too comfortable?
They don't like God ?
They are tired?

If you also have reasons why people sleep maybe to justify yourself  you can let it known in the comment box as well. At least we can all know why people sleep and maybe we may consider sleeping too if it is productive.

AWESOME DEFENSE!!!

Omg..... How could u not write about defense
Ok that's quite broad I mean the word "defense"
Let me break it down, final- year- project-defense
That explains it better now, my defense was awesome
...have used that word 'awesome'  over a hundred times this week because it was actually awesome and people definitely keep asking how the defense was and I simply tell them it was awesome

Amidst the everybody wearing suit and looking all office ready, especially the girls and some boys that have never worn it before it was a wonderful experience.

Gist coming from my colleagues says that it was also awesome, nice, interesting, but really no one came out and said my defense was bad .....but the question is who are those that now score D and C in project.

Wish we had the opportunity to watch people's defense like my engineering colleagues at least we wouldn't need to ask how was your defense we just be like "sorry ehn" or "congrats". That's by the way.

77 days to go, have not lost count keep calm, and soon I will be out of covenant university as a graduate with my B.sc accounting. But before then let's deal with this exam.
 June 26 is a reality.

Money has value

Been a while I wrote, and I feel empty already does this mean writing is really my thing.
Why haven't I written for a while, common there are lots of things to write about my birthday was about a month ago, the presidential election amidst many other situations around.

Like I told a friend that I haven't written because I was going through some emotionally krinkumkrakum (that does not mean anything don't worry ......at least I guess it explains what I mean) yes! Not that I lost someone neither did anyone break my heart.

My Atm was missing and I was in a financial dilemma, it was catastrophic, it was fun the first week as it seemed I was saving my money Buh Ogbeni been without money is not fun, I once wrote about a call for help Nna I needed help.

Ant till yesterday when I got my ATM back ate good food of my choice did I appreciate the value of money.

"Up Nepa" oh sorry....... Money is important.. sigh.... They have taken the light again.

I feel alive again Walahi and I don't wish anyone that, as for the elections and other matters like my boring birthday God dey, thank God for the new president elect and other governors elect I hope they work o. But it's sad none of them even promised free wifi at least many people can get to visit my blog more often.......ok bye!

Happy birthday daddy

Happy birthday daddy
One of the most asked leadership questions "are leaders born"?
Yes! Obviously my dad was born some over fifty years ago.
What else do you want in a leader
A wise man said "A man that can manage His home can manage a nation"
Your home is a testimony,
you are my heroπŸ’ͺ my superman, my father!
You have shown yourself an example to emulate
Discipline! Your watch word, integrity your lifestyle, spirituality your way of life
I love you more than words can express sir ❤️πŸ’šπŸ’œπŸ’™πŸ’›
As you celebrate your birthday today the Lord will continue to bless and increase you sir.
Happy belated birthday sir.🎁
