Why can't I just be happy.

Sincerely what is the use of going to class when you know you won't learn, oops to sign attendance.
That was the typical example of what happened today, going for my last class today knowing fully well that I won't gain anything but nevertheless I still went, and thus the question arose in me why do we do stuffs we don't want to do?

We find ourselves taking actions we don't want to take, decisions we don't want to and at the end we regret it, and guess the bad side of the story when the opportunity comes again we repeat it and on and on. Why can't I just do the things that makes me happy and bullshit what anybody thinks or feel about it.

I read a quote somewhere that says, it is better to smile to someone and not be smiled back at than to be the one that didn't smile back. Exactly, I say it is better to do the things that are right than evil. In my ethics class we learnt about the deciding between right and wrong and what stands as the judgement of what Is right and wrong, who decides what is right and wrong and one of the pressing answers we got was environment our environment decides what is right or wrong, as a man I can decide to wear a skirt in Scotland and be right but not in nigeria.

Taking me back to the first issue about my happiness and my decisions I think it is necessary to do what is right especially in respect to the environment we find ourselves like the old saying goes when you are in Rome ...................................... You know this.

Thus I will do what makes me happy, but it must be the right things you too can take such decisions today, I will do whatever makes me happy but it must be the right things.

And if you are familiar with leaders digest we have been mentioning about sincere heartfelt compliments, I gave a lot today and guess what I got one also about my neatness and coordination thanks Anabel you are such a wonderful and unique character.

" little phrases such as 'I'm sorry to trouble you,' 'thank you' 'would you mind' 'would you be so kind as to...?' - little courtesies like these oil the cogs of the monotonous grind of everyday life- and incidentally, they are the hallmark of good breeding."

  1. it is good to be happy, but in our happiness we should remeber the God factor. sometimes we do things that makes us happy and are permissible by the society, but are displeasing to God ( Bribery, Fornication etc) but rather, our true happiness should come from pleasing God
